Over the years as a result of my obsessive searching out new varieties of ramblers, both in this country and in Europe, I have acquired a very significant collection of about 300 different varieties with more on their way from Europe. This has given me an unusually wonderful opportunity, along with my travels, to photograph and study these interesting plants first hand. Surrounded this way by living subjects, as well as my library, it has been a pleasure to create a written record of what I know about them in this book.

I received my book today and am so happy to add it to my rose book collection! To think that Ramblers are known for blooming once and that this book contains photos of all of the Ramblers in full bloom! The writing is just charming and interesting, I was engaged as I thumbed through the different descriptions and stories about the roses. There are notes on how the colors of the same rose varies in different gardens around the world. I also like the stories about how the roses got named. Notes about how it blooms, descriptions of colors, size the rose will grow, there is a lot of information in this tremendous effort to catalog Ramblers of all shapes, colors, and sizes. To have all of this in one place is a true treasure!This book is not a hardcover book, so I do not think that it was intended to be a coffee table book. This book is a practical resource that also has tons of great photos accompanied with well thought out and written text. I felt that the paper quality and photo quality was very good. Given the number of pages in the book, I think this book is an excellent value. The book is good reading, good visually and an excellent addition to anyone's collection of rose books.

This informative book has brought together a species of roses, which no other person on earth has accomplished and seeing 1st hand the development of her efforts and accomplishments since August 2011; and she also has a total garden commemorated to her name in Texas, being an ACCOMPLISHMENT. So all side-kicks who write bad things about her or her accomplishmenst, should realize their lack of self-esteem and lack of accomplishments in life... She is a gracious person in heart and puts her best foot forward, being an ideal citizen in society... Wait until the next Rose-Book comes out... Coming up soon...
An excellent encyclopedic reference for rose enthusiasts
Great source of information and photos on little known (many forgotten) rambling roses. This class of roses was popular during the Edwardian Era and is little known today. Anne Belovich does a great job in raising awareness of this class of roses.
What a fantastic book, and a great reference! A must have for anyone growing climbers/ramblers, or who wishes to do so.
This is a beautiful book with crisp, clear, color close-up photos of hundreds of rambler rose flowers arranged alphabetically by variety. You can use it to learn what a particular rose bloom looks like and due to the close-up details of the flower photos it would be very useful to anyone trying to identify a "found" rose.
Every entry includes a description and other useful information about the variety written in a clear and succinct style by a real rambler expert who has grown, studied and preserved these roses for decades.
It is a resource you will enjoy reading and using as a valuable reference book.
As a part of a Rose library this book is not to be missed. I know it represents many years of research and while I would have loved to have had much more of that research included with many more pictures of the actual vines and leaves I have to be satisfied with what the market will bear. Congratulations to Anne.
Hats off to Anne for bringing forth this compendium of the long-overlooked Rambler roses!
I was very pleased when my copy arrived. It is a large paperbound book, loaded with color photographs of Ramblers and other Species Hybrid roses. I found the vast majority of the photos to be crisp. Perhaps a bit more of the foliage would help some of the hardcore plant identifiers out there. Enough description for me to see the differences in the roses, and guidance on where/ how to place them.
A fine balance between art and science here. A true labor of love.
